Auroville Papers started in 1996. It is a creative enterprise of Auroville, an international city dedicated to human unity, located in Tamil Nadu, South India.

Our international team works in tandem with the villagers. Of the 34-member workforce, more than 70% are women.

We craft handmade paper out of cotton rags, vegetal fibers and recycled paper. We produce stationery, jewellery, flowers and a great variety of works of art.

We try to make sustainable use of the environment around us, and our way of expressing our gratitude towards it is by respecting nature and maintaining a firm commitment to producing ecologically-sound products.
